Mobile Mechanic in Tarragindi
The question worth asking a mobile mechanic is what happens when the job turns out to be bigger than the booking. A van on its own has one answer, which is to pack up. We have a workshop at 2 Baldock St, Moorooka with six technicians in it, so the job gets finished either way.
The moment a driveway job changes
It happens often enough to plan for. A brake pad replacement uncovers a seized caliper. A service finds a coolant leak that has been quietly topped up for a year. A no-start turns out to be a starter motor buried behind an exhaust manifold rather than a flat battery.
At that point the vehicle is apart in your driveway and somebody has to make a decision. A mobile-only operator gives you a phone number for somebody else, and you start the whole conversation again with a stranger who did not see what we saw.
What happens with us instead
You get a call from the person standing next to your car, with what was found, what it needs and what it costs. If it can still be done at your address, it gets done.
If it needs a hoist, the car is booked into Moorooka and finished by the same team, with the same report and the same job number. Nothing gets re-diagnosed and you do not pay twice to have the fault found.
That continuity is the whole argument for using a workshop that also travels rather than a van that does not have one.
Eight years at one address
Owner John Ruzgani is on the workshop floor rather than behind a call centre, and the same six people are there year after year. That matters when a job spans two visits, because the person who saw the fault is the person who fixes it.
It also means proper parts stock rather than everything being ordered in. Common service parts, filters, brake components and batteries are on hand, and model specific items get ordered before a visit, which is why we ask for a rego or VIN when you book.
What we bring and what we can decide on site
The van carries diagnostic gear, common service and brake parts, batteries and the tools to support a car safely. That covers the great majority of driveway work without a second trip.
Where it does not, the decision gets made quickly rather than dragging on. We would rather tell you in the first twenty minutes that the car needs to come in than spend two hours proving it in your driveway while you wait.
Tarragindi driveways are their own problem
Tarragindi runs over the ridge country next to Ekibin, Wellers Hill and Holland Park, and a lot of local driveways are steep, short or both. That is a real constraint on mobile work rather than a detail.
Jacking a car needs firm, level ground. A driveway that drops away sharply is not somewhere anyone should be putting a car on stands, and a short driveway with the car nose-in against a garage does not leave room to work on the front corners.
Tell us what your driveway is like when you book. If it will not work, the workshop is a run across from Logan Road to Baldock St, and there is an after-hours key drop for early starts.
Coverage is worth confirming too, because our vans run Brisbane Northside, Brisbane Southside, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and the Redlands. The parent mobile mechanic page lists what travels and what does not, and the rest of what we do locally is on the Tarragindi page.

Common questions
FAQ — Mobile mechanic in Tarragindi
What happens if the mobile job turns out to need a hoist?
We tell you on the spot, give you a price and book the car into Moorooka. Same team, same report, no second diagnosis.
Do you charge twice if the job moves to the workshop?
The diagnosis is not repeated, so you are not paying to find the same fault again. The repair is quoted before it starts.
My Tarragindi driveway is steep. Can you still come?
Probably not for anything needing jacking. Tell us when you book and we will be straight about whether it will work.
Do you cover Tarragindi with the van?
Our confirmed areas are Brisbane Northside and Southside, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and the Redlands. Ring 0402 723 464 and ask.
Who actually turns up?
One of our own technicians. We do not subcontract mobile work to other operators.
Do you carry parts?
Common service and brake parts and batteries. Model specific items are ordered before the visit, so we need your rego or VIN.
How far is the workshop?
A run across from Logan Road to 2 Baldock St, Moorooka, with on-site parking and a key drop.
What vehicles do you work on?
All makes and models, including European, diesel, 4WD, fleet, commercial, hybrid and electric.
