Mobile Mechanic
Brisbane Southside
This is our home ground. The workshop is at 2 Baldock St in Moorooka, so a southside call-out is a short run rather than a half-day expedition — and when a job turns out to need a hoist, the hoist is ten minutes away instead of across the city.
Why mobile here
Close enough that the fallback plan is real
Every mobile mechanic can do a service in a driveway. The question that matters is what happens when the car turns out to need something a van cannot carry, because that is where a call-out either saves your day or wastes it.
On the southside the answer is straightforward. Moorooka is inside fifteen minutes of most of these suburbs, so a car that needs a hoist, a rotor lathe or an alignment rack gets booked into the workshop the same week rather than left in pieces while somebody sources a solution.
That proximity also means parts. If a battery, a set of pads or a filter is not on the van, someone can bring it out rather than the visit being rebooked.
What we do
What the southside actually books
Servicing and logbook work is the bulk of it, usually from people who cannot lose a morning to a workshop drop-off. Batteries are next, and they are almost always urgent — a car that will not crank in a Carindale car park is not going anywhere on its own.
Pre-purchase inspections are the third big one, and they are the reason a lot of southside customers first call us. A private seller in Sunnybank or Mount Gravatt is not going to drive a car to Moorooka so a stranger can look at it, so we go to the car.
Brake pads and rotors, charging system testing, and diagnostics with a scan tool all travel fine and get done at your address.

Suburbs on the Brisbane Southside run
If your street is not listed, ring 0402 723 464 and ask rather than assuming. We would rather tell you no than take a booking we cannot keep.
Linked suburbs have their own page with local detail, directions and pricing. Everywhere else on this list is covered by the Brisbane Southside mobile run.

Common questions
Brisbane Southside mobile mechanic FAQs
How far south do you go?
The southside run covers Mount Gravatt, Sunnybank, Coorparoo, Holland Park, Carindale, Wishart, Mansfield, Runcorn, Eight Mile Plains and the suburbs between them. If you are further out than that, ring and ask rather than assuming.
Is mobile cheaper than the workshop?
No. It is the same labour rate. What it saves you is the drive, the wait and the second trip to collect the car.
What if the job needs a hoist?
We tell you at the car, quote the workshop job, and you book it in at Moorooka. Nothing is started that cannot be finished.
Can you do a roadworthy at my house?
Safety certificate inspections need particular conditions and equipment. Ring 0402 723 464 and we will tell you honestly whether yours can be done on site or needs to come in.
Do you come out on Saturdays?
Saturday is 8am to 3pm and it books out first, so give as much notice as you can.
