Mechanic and Car Repairs,
Brisbane South West

The south west runs on utes, vans and trucks. Acacia Ridge and Archerfield are industrial, and a large share of what comes to us from this region earns its owner a living. We are at 2 Baldock St, Moorooka, a short run up Beaudesert Road.

Work vehicles

Downtime is the real
cost.

If a van is off the road, the invoice is the small part of what it costs you. Tell us when you book that the vehicle has to be back on the road by a certain time and we will tell you straight whether that is achievable. If a part has to come in, we say so before the vehicle is stripped.

For anyone running more than one vehicle, it is usually worth staggering services so you are never short of two at once. Ring and we will work out a pattern that fits how you actually operate.

What a loaded vehicle wears out

Rear springs sag. Bushes wear. Rear brakes do more of the work than they were designed to. Add a towbar and the whole rear end works harder again. A ute carrying weight every day is a different machine to the same model doing school runs.

Diesel and short trips

A diesel doing a lot of short suburban trips between Inala and Archerfield will load up a diesel particulate filter far faster than one doing open running. If that dash light has come on more than once, it is a symptom, not an inconvenience.

Common questions

FAQ — Brisbane South West

How far is Moorooka from Inala or Durack?

A short run up Beaudesert Road. Parking is on site and there is room for a ute or a van.

What is the way in from Richlands or Heathwood?

Most people take the Centenary Motorway and come across, or run Beaudesert Road the whole way. Either works.

Do you work on vans and light commercials?

Yes. Fleet and commercial vehicles are a normal part of the day here, along with diesel and 4WD.

Can you service more than one vehicle for me?

Yes. Ring and we will set up a schedule that keeps them staggered so you are not short of two vehicles in the same week.

Do you do diesel servicing?

Yes, including fuel filters, injector faults and the problems that come from short-trip diesel driving.

Do you issue safety certificates?

Yes, on site, and we can repair a fail here rather than sending you elsewhere. Call to confirm current AIS details.

How quickly can I get the vehicle back?

Tell us the deadline when you book. Most servicing is a few hours. If a part has to be ordered you will know before we start, not after.

Do you deal with insurers on damage repairs?

Yes, all major Australian insurers, including the assessor and the paperwork.

What are your hours and how do I pay?

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 3pm, closed Sunday. All major cards and cash.
