Service areas
Mechanic and Car Repairs,
Brisbane South East
The south east is the hilliest part of the area we cover. We are at 2 Baldock St, Moorooka, a short run across from Logan Road, covering the whole region for servicing, brakes, transmission work, diagnostics, safety certificates and smash repair.
Hills, traffic and brakes
What hills actually do
to a car.
Going up costs an engine and a gearbox. Going down costs brakes. An automatic that spends its week climbing out of Ekibin or Whites Hill shifts more often and runs hotter than one doing flat suburban work.
Riding the pedal down a long grade heats pads and rotors, and heat is what warps a rotor. If you get a pulse through the brake pedal at speed, that is usually a rotor that has been cooked rather than pads at the end of their life.
Book a brake checkLogan Road and Old Cleveland Road
Both are stop-start most of the day. Heavy arterial traffic and hills together is a demanding combination — it is why brake work, cooling repairs and transmission complaints make up so much of what comes in from this side.
Suspension wear
Constant camber changes and driveways at awkward angles work bushes and shock absorbers harder than flat suburban running. The first sign is usually a knock over speed humps.

Common questions
FAQ — Brisbane South East
How do I get to you from Mount Gravatt or Holland Park?
Across from Logan Road and down towards Moorooka. It is a short run, and parking is on site.
What about from Carindale or Camp Hill?
Out along Old Cleveland Road and across. Most people from that end book a morning drop-off and collect after work.
Does the mobile service reach Coorparoo and Holland Park?
Yes. Both are on the Brisbane southside mobile run, along with Mount Gravatt. Servicing, brakes, batteries and inspections all get done at your home or workplace.
Why do my brakes wear out so fast?
Hills and stop-start traffic together. Kilometres are a poor guide to brake life. If you live on a slope and drive Logan Road, expect to be in earlier than the odometer suggests.
My brake pedal pulses. Is that dangerous?
It usually means a warped rotor. It is not an emergency, but it gets worse and it eventually chews the pads, so get it looked at rather than living with it.
Do you service automatics and manuals?
Both, including transmission fluid and filter work, clutch replacement and diagnostics on gearboxes that are shifting badly.
Do you do safety certificates?
Yes, on site, with repairs to anything that fails done here. Call us on 0402 723 464 for current pricing.
Do you work on European cars?
Yes, along with diesel, 4WD, fleet, commercial, hybrid and electric vehicles.
What are your hours?
