Mechanic and Car Repairs,
Brisbane Western Suburbs

Sherwood, Graceville, Corinda and Oxley are a straightforward run across Oxley Road to our workshop at 2 Baldock St, Moorooka, and Jindalee, Mount Ommaney and Indooroopilly are not much further. We service and repair everything from small hatches to European SUVs, and we do smash repair in the same building.

Two types of driving

The western suburbs do not
all drive the same way.

Corinda, Sherwood, Graceville and Oxley are close in with short suburban trips. Cars from that end tend to arrive with low kilometres and old oil, with wear showing on brakes and batteries rather than tyres.

Jindalee, Mount Ommaney and Westlake are a different proposition — most commute on the Centenary Motorway and the kilometres build fast. That is easier on brakes and harder on tyres, alignment and the cooling system, particularly through summer.

Newer cars and the warranty question

Australian law lets any qualified workshop carry out logbook servicing without affecting a manufacturer warranty. We stamp the book the same way a dealership does, and we use the oil grade your engine is specified to run.

Cooling and summer

A cooling system that is quietly past its best will get through winter without complaint and let go in January. Having the system pressure tested before summer is a small job. Having a head gasket done afterwards is not.

Common questions

FAQ — Brisbane Western Suburbs

How do I get to you from Sherwood or Corinda?

Across Oxley Road and over to Moorooka. It is a short run, and there is parking on site.

What about from Jindalee or Mount Ommaney?

The Centenary Motorway is the usual way in. Most people from that end drop the car in the morning.

Will servicing with you void my new car warranty?

No. Any qualified workshop can do logbook servicing under Australian law as long as the schedule is followed and the correct parts are used. We stamp the book.

Do you service European cars properly?

Yes, including manufacturer-approved oil grades and the diagnostic equipment to go with them.

How much is a service?

Oil and filter from $149, full service from $330. Anything beyond that is quoted before we start.

Can I leave the car the night before?

Yes, there is an after-hours key drop. Book online first and describe the fault in the notes.

Do you do safety certificates?

Yes, on site, with repairs to a fail done here. Call us to confirm current AIS details.

Do you offer a warranty on parts?

Every part we fit carries the supplier or manufacturer warranty that comes with it.

Are you open Saturdays?

Yes, 8am to 3pm. Monday to Friday is 8am to 5pm, and we are closed Sunday.
