An oil and filter change at our Moorooka workshop starts at $149. A full premium car service starts at $330 and includes a complete safety check, fresh oil and filter, a fuel system clean, all fluids topped up and a written report. Anything outside those two jobs is quoted before we start, and nothing gets done until you say yes.
Service prices,
set before you book
Two starting prices cover most cars. Anything beyond them is quoted in writing before a spanner is picked up.

Replenish engine oil
Engine oil and oil filter changed, using the correct grade for your engine. That is it. No inspection you did not ask for. No list of recommendations at the counter designed to turn a $149 job into a $600 one. If we notice something genuinely unsafe while the car is up, we will tell you, but telling you is where it ends unless you want us to go further. Usually done while you wait.

Premium car service
- Full vehicle safety check
- Fresh engine oil and a new oil filter
- Fuel system clean
- All fluids checked and topped up
- Written report in plain English on what we found
The report is the part people mention afterwards. It tells you what was done, what needs attention now, and what is fine for another six or twelve months. You can read it without a trade background, and you can take it to anyone for a second opinion.
Book a serviceWhy prices start at "from"
What moves
the price
Both figures start at "from" for a reason, and it is not a trick. Four things genuinely change between one car and the next.
How much oil your engine takes
A four cylinder hatch and a diesel 4WD are not the same job. Some engines take four litres, some take nine.
What grade of oil it needs
Modern low viscosity synthetics cost more than what a 2005 Camry drinks. European engines often need a specific manufacturer approval.
Filter type and access
Some filters cost twelve dollars and take two minutes. Some are buried.
What the inspection turns up
If your brakes are down to the wear indicators, that is a separate job with a separate price, and you will hear about it before anything happens.
Everything else
Other work is quoted
per job.
Brakes, clutches, transmissions, air conditioning, auto electrical and smash repairs are quoted per job, because a brake job on a Yaris and a brake job on a Ranger are not comparable.
The process is the same every time. We look at the car, we tell you what it needs and what it will cost, and you decide. If we get into it and find more, we stop and call you. No approval, no work.

We look at the car
Inspect, diagnose, find out exactly what is needed.
We tell you what it needs and what it costs
In plain English, before a single job is started.
You decide
Yes, no, or let me think about it. No pressure either way.
If we find more, we stop and call
No approval, no work. Every time, without exception.
Logbook servicing
Costs less than the dealership.
Keeps your warranty.
Logbook servicing here costs less than the dealership in most cases, and it does not affect your new car warranty. Australian consumer law is clear on this. Any qualified workshop can service a new vehicle provided the manufacturer's schedule is followed and the correct parts are used. We stamp the book the same way.
About logbook servicingCommon questions
Pricing FAQ
How much is a car service in Brisbane?
At our Moorooka workshop, an oil and filter change starts at $149 and a full service starts at $330. Across Brisbane generally you will see anything from about $150 for a basic oil change to $500 or more for a major logbook service on a European car.
Why do you say "from"?
Because oil capacity, oil grade and filter type genuinely differ between cars. We give you the exact figure when you book, not after the work is done.
Will you call me before doing extra work?
Always. Nothing happens without your approval, even if it means the car sits until we reach you.
How much is a roadworthy certificate in Queensland?
Safety certificate pricing is set per vehicle type. Call us on 0402 723 464 for the current figure.
Is a cheap service worth it?
It depends what is in it. A $99 special is usually oil and a filter with a quick look around, which is fine if that is what you need. Compare inclusions rather than headline prices.
Do you charge a diagnostic fee?
Diagnostic work is quoted before it starts. If the repair goes ahead with us, we will tell you up front how the diagnostic time is treated.
How long does a full service take?
Most take a few hours. If you need the car the same day, tell us when you book and we will schedule it accordingly.
How do I pay?
All major cards and cash. Payment on collection.
