Mechanic and Car Repairs,
Brisbane East

Most drivers in the eastern suburbs use one workshop for servicing and a different one when the car gets damaged. We do both at 2 Baldock St, Moorooka, which is a straightforward run across from Bulimba, Morningside, Norman Park or Cannon Hill.

Two speeds of driving

One building for
both halves of the job.

The river end — Bulimba, Hawthorne and Balmoral — is tight and slow, with short trips and hard-worked brakes, batteries that never fully recharge, and aircon at idle.

Cannon Hill, Colmslie and Seven Hills are different, because the Gateway Motorway is right there. Cars that use it daily rack up kilometres at a steady speed — kinder to brakes but harder on tyres, alignment and cooling.

When the car has been hit

A car hit in the front does not just need a bumper and bonnet. The radiator, aircon condenser, steering geometry and sensors all need checking, and in most workshops that means a second booking somewhere else. Here it is the same building.

Choose your own repairer

In most cases you can choose your own repairer rather than accept the one your insurer puts forward. That is your right and it is worth using. Ask us before you agree to anything.

Common questions

FAQ — Brisbane East

How do I get to you from Bulimba or Hawthorne?

Across Old Cleveland Road and down through Coorparoo, or through Woolloongabba if you are coming along the river. Parking is on site.

What is the run in from Cannon Hill or Seven Hills?

Old Cleveland Road across is the usual way. From further out, the Gateway Motorway then across works too.

Is it worth driving to Moorooka when there are closer workshops?

For a routine oil change, closest is a fine way to choose. For accident repair, or a fault that has already been looked at once, having the mechanical and panel sides in one building is the reason people make the trip.

Can you handle my insurance claim?

Yes. All major Australian insurers, including dealing with the assessor and the paperwork.

Can I choose my own repairer?

In most cases yes, and you do not have to use whoever your insurer suggests. Ask us before you agree to anything.

Do you do windscreens?

Yes, repairs and replacement.

Do you work on European and hybrid cars?

Yes, along with diesel, 4WD, fleet, commercial and fully electric vehicles.

Do you issue safety certificates?

Yes, on site, and we can repair a fail here rather than sending you elsewhere. Call to confirm AIS details.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 3pm, closed Sunday. All major cards and cash, and there is an after-hours key drop.
