Car servicing in Moorooka, Brisbane

Every make and model

Including the ones other places send away

Six of us work here. Between us we cover European cars, diesels, 4WDs, fleet and commercial vehicles, hybrids and full electric. If your car needs a manufacturer-approved oil specification or a scan tool that most suburban workshops do not own, that is not a reason for us to send you elsewhere.

Our process

How a job runs here

1

You book online or ring 0402 723 464 and tell us what the car is doing.

2

The car goes on a hoist at the time you booked, not into a queue in the car park.

3

We find the fault, work out what it will cost, and call you.

4

You say yes or no. Nothing happens until you do.

5

You collect the car and get told what was done and what we noticed while we were in there.

If we open something up and find more than we quoted, the car stops and the phone rings. That rule does not bend, even when it means the car sits overnight because we could not reach you.

Local conditions

What Brisbane driving does to a car

Southside driving is unkind to engines in a very specific way. Short trips to Moorooka Junction or the school run at Yeronga never get the oil properly hot, so moisture and fuel dilution stay in the sump. Then you sit in stop-start traffic on Ipswich Road, where the engine works but the airflow through the radiator does not.

Add a run of 35 degree days and high humidity and you get the pattern we see constantly. Batteries that die at three years instead of five. Coolant that has gone acidic well before anyone thought to check it. Brake fluid that has pulled in moisture and gone soft in the pedal.

None of that is a reason to panic. It is a reason to service on the shorter end of the manufacturer's range rather than the longer one, and to have someone actually look at the fluids rather than tick a box.

What it costs

Prices, and why they start with "from"

From $149 for oil and filter. From $330 for the full premium service. Both say "from" because oil capacity, oil grade and filter access genuinely differ between a small petrol hatch and a diesel ute. You get the exact number when you book, not when you collect.

Everything else is quoted per job. Parts we fit carry whatever supplier or manufacturer warranty comes with them.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What does a mechanic in Brisbane charge for a service?

Ours starts at $149 for oil and filter and $330 for a full premium service.

Do you work on European cars?

Yes. European, diesel, 4WD, fleet, commercial, hybrid and electric vehicles are all normal here.

Can you service my car while it is still under new car warranty?

Yes. Book a logbook service. Australian consumer law allows a qualified independent workshop to do it and we stamp the book the same way a dealer does.

Do I need an appointment?

For servicing, yes. For a look at something that has just started making a noise, ring us and we will tell you honestly whether it can wait until the next slot.

Are you open on weekends?

Saturday 8am to 3pm. Closed Sunday.

What if I cannot get here during opening hours?

Use the after-hours key drop and leave the car with a note. We will call you before doing anything.

Will you tell me what does not need doing?

Yes, and we do it often. Plenty of things that look alarming on a report have another six or twelve months left in them, and we would rather say so.

Do you charge to diagnose a fault?

Diagnostic time is quoted up front. If the repair goes ahead with us, we tell you at the time how that time is treated.

How long will my car be here?

A service is usually a few hours. A repair depends entirely on parts availability, and we will give you a realistic answer rather than an optimistic one.

What payment do you take?

All major cards and cash, on collection.
