Car Servicing and Repairs in Archerfield

Archerfield is a working suburb and the vehicles we see from here reflect that — diesel utes, vans, light trucks and fleet vehicles. DPF problems from short-trip driving and trade vehicle downtime are the two things we deal with most. We are at 2 Baldock St, Moorooka, just north of Archerfield airport. Full service from $330, oil and filter from $149. Fleet accounts available.

Diesel and commercial vehicles

DPF problems start
with short trips.

A diesel particulate filter needs to reach high exhaust temperature to burn off accumulated soot — a process called regeneration. On a work vehicle that mostly drives short runs at low speed, regeneration never completes. The filter clogs, the warning light comes on, and performance drops.

In mild cases a forced regeneration on a diagnostic tool clears it. In worse cases the filter needs cleaning or replacement. Either way, the underlying driving pattern has to be addressed or it happens again. We tell you the options rather than just solving the immediate fault and handing the car back.

Work vehicles need to work

A van or ute off the road is lost revenue. We try to keep turnaround fast for trade vehicles and will tell you honestly if a repair is going to take longer than a day so you can make arrangements.

Fleet servicing and accounts

Multiple vehicles, staggered bookings, monthly accounts for established businesses. We can work around when you need the vehicles and coordinate with you on scheduling.

Safety certificates for commercials

Light commercial vehicles need safety certificates too. We do those on site and can carry out any repairs that turn up without you needing to deal with a second business.

The rest of what we do

Full servicing, logbook servicing, brakes, aircon, auto electrical, smash repairs. All makes, all models, commercial and passenger. European, diesel, hybrid and electric.

Common questions

FAQ — Archerfield

Do you service commercial vehicles and vans?

Yes. Utilities, vans, light trucks and fleet vehicles. Same booking process as any other vehicle.

My diesel ute has a DPF warning light. What does that mean?

The DPF — diesel particulate filter — has clogged because it could not complete a regeneration cycle. That usually happens when the vehicle is mostly driven at low speed on short trips without a highway run to clear it. In some cases a forced regen clears it; in others the filter needs physical cleaning or replacement.

Can you do fleet servicing for a small business?

Yes. Multiple vehicles, coordinated bookings, and accounts available for established businesses. Talk to us about what you need.

How long will a service take if I can't leave the vehicle all day?

A standard service is usually done within two to three hours if booked in advance. Tell us your time constraints and we will fit around them where we can.

Do you do heavy vehicle inspections?

We work on light commercial vehicles. For heavy vehicles above that class you would need a specialist heavy vehicle workshop.

Can you do safety certificates on work vehicles?

Yes. Safety certificates on light commercial vehicles — utilities, vans and the like — are carried out on site and repairs can be done here.

How do I get to you from Archerfield?

We are at 2 Baldock St, Moorooka, just north of Archerfield airport via Boundary Road or Ipswich Road. Parking for larger vehicles on site.

Do you offer pick-up for vehicles that can't be driven?

We can arrange towing for vehicles that are not mobile. Let us know when you book.

What brands of diesel do you work on?

All of them — Ford, Isuzu, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz, VW and others.
