My car overheated on the motorway. Can it be driven to you?
Do not drive an overheated car anywhere until it has cooled completely and you know why it overheated. Driving on a burst hose or with no coolant does engine damage that is far more expensive than the original fault. Call us first and we will talk through whether it is safe to drive or whether it needs a tow.
How often should I check my coolant level?
Every few months and before any long trip. Low coolant on a highway run is a much bigger problem than low coolant around town, because the engine is working harder and heat builds faster. The overflow tank has MIN/MAX marks — check it when the engine is cold.
My tyres are worn but only in the centre. What causes that?
Over-inflation. When a tyre is inflated above the recommended pressure, the centre tread carries more of the load and wears faster. We check pressures when tyres go on and can advise on correct pressure for your load.
I leave my car in the park-and-ride all day. Can I drop it before work?
Yes. We have an after-hours key drop, and you can collect after 3pm Saturday or during the week within our hours. Tell us your time constraints when you book.
