Car Servicing and Repairs in Runcorn
Runcorn sits south of Mains Road. Mains Road west to Ipswich Road takes you directly to us at 2 Baldock St, Moorooka. Every service includes a written condition report with actual numbers — not a verbal "all good" at the counter. We are open Saturday to 3pm. Full service from $330, oil and filter from $149.
Written reports — know what you are paying for
Numbers on paper beat
"everything looks fine."
A verbal report is a memory. A written report is a record. We note brake pad thickness in millimetres, tyre tread across the face of each tyre, fluid conditions, and any components approaching the end of their service life — so you can see what changed between services rather than hearing that everything is fine until it suddenly is not.
It also means you can ask a second opinion without relying on what you remember being told. That is the point of a written report.
Saturday servicing
Monday to Friday does not work for everyone. We are open Saturday until 3pm for servicing, inspections and brake work. Book ahead — Saturday fills up.
Mains Road brakes
The Mains Road corridor is busy in both directions. Cars doing that commute tend to go through front brake pads faster than general estimates. We measure at every service and call before any work is done.
Smash repairs from one workshop
Accident repair and mechanical work run from the same address. A car that needs both comes back as one job, not two separate bookings at two different workshops.
Safety certificate when selling
A Queensland safety certificate is required before a private sale or registration transfer. We carry them out on site and can repair failures here, so the process does not require another workshop visit.

Common questions
FAQ — Runcorn
What does a service report actually tell me?
We measure brake pad thickness in millimetres, tyre tread depth across the face, and note fluid conditions and anything wearing toward the end of its service life. You get the numbers in writing, not a verbal summary.
Why do I need a written report? The last mechanic just told me everything was fine.
A written report means you can compare it to the next service and see what has changed. It also means you can ask a second opinion on what we found without relying on memory.
Can I get a service on a Saturday?
Yes, we are open until 3pm Saturday. Book ahead — it fills up.
Do you do roadworthies?
Yes, on site. Anything that fails can usually be repaired here without a second appointment elsewhere.
How do I get to you from Runcorn?
Mains Road west to Ipswich Road, then into Moorooka. We are at 2 Baldock St with parking on site.
My car was rear-ended. Can you handle the insurance claim?
Yes. We deal with all major insurers and their assessors. Bring the claim details and we take it from there.
How much is a full service?
From $330, written report included. Oil and filter from $149.
Do you work on European and diesel cars?
Yes, along with 4WD, fleet, commercial, hybrid and electric vehicles.
Should I get a pre-purchase inspection before buying a car from around here?
Yes, always. A hoist inspection and diagnostic scan takes a couple of hours and tells you things the seller either cannot or will not.
