Mobile Mechanic in Annerley

Plenty of mobile mechanic websites list every suburb in Brisbane and sort it out later. We would rather tell you where our vans actually run. Annerley is close enough to the workshop that a booking at 2 Baldock St is usually quicker, and if you need us to come to you, ring and ask before you count on it.

Where our mobile service genuinely goes

Our vans cover Brisbane Northside, Brisbane Southside, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and the Redlands. Those are our own vans rather than subcontractors, which is why the list is that size and not the whole of south east Queensland.

On the southside run that means Mount Gravatt, Sunnybank, Coorparoo, Holland Park and the suburbs around them. Annerley sits on the inner south instead, close to the workshop, alongside Fairfield, Yeronga, Dutton Park and Moorooka.

That does not mean no. It means ask, because the answer depends on the day and the job.

Why we bother saying so

A call-out that gets accepted and then cancelled is worse than a straight no. So is a van that arrives without the right parts because nobody checked the vehicle before agreeing to come.

We ask for your rego or VIN when you book so model specific parts are on board. If we cannot do that for your address, we will say so and offer the workshop instead.

The workshop option from Annerley

2 Baldock St, Moorooka is a short run down Ipswich Road from most Annerley addresses. There is on-site parking, an after-hours key drop for early starts, and Saturday hours until 3pm.

For a lot of Annerley customers that is faster than waiting for a mobile slot. It also opens up work that cannot be done anywhere else, including alignment, rotor machining and anything needing a car in the air for hours.

You can drop the car before work, we ring you with findings and a price, and you collect it that afternoon.

What travels well when we do come out

Servicing, including logbook servicing with the book stamped. Brake pads and rotors, one corner at a time with the car properly supported. Battery, alternator and starter testing where the car sits, and diagnostics on warning lights and rough running.

Pre-purchase inspections at the seller's address are a genuinely good use of a mobile visit, because the car is where it is and you want it looked at before money moves.

The parent mobile mechanic page has the full list, including the honest section on what cannot be done at an address.

The parts question

Vans carry stock, not a warehouse. Common filters, brake components, batteries and service items are on board, and anything model specific has to be identified before the visit.

That is why a booking taken without a rego number is a booking that may not go anywhere. A European car with a specific filter housing or a particular pad shape needs the right part ordered first, and finding that out in your driveway helps nobody.

What never travels

Transmission and internal engine work, clutch replacement, heavy suspension work and rotor machining all need a hoist or a lathe. Wheel alignment needs a rack on a level floor and cannot be done in a driveway by anyone.

A driveway also has to be usable. Soft ground, a steep slope or a tandem space with no room to work will stop an otherwise simple job before it starts.

Everything else we do for the suburb sits on the Annerley page.

Pricing and hours

Oil and filter from $149, full service from $330, the same at your address as at the workshop. Repairs are quoted before they happen and nothing goes ahead without your approval.

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 3pm, closed Sunday. All major cards or cash.

Common questions

FAQ — Mobile mechanic in Annerley

Do you cover Annerley with the mobile van?

Our confirmed mobile areas are Brisbane Northside and Southside, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and the Redlands. Ring 0402 723 464 about Annerley rather than assuming.

Why not just say you cover everywhere?

Because a booking we cannot honour wastes your day. We would rather send you to the workshop up Ipswich Road than cancel on you.

How far is the workshop from Annerley?

A short run down Ipswich Road to 2 Baldock St, Moorooka. On-site parking and an after-hours key drop.

Is there a call-out fee?

Please call us on 0402 723 464 for call-out fee and travel charge details.

Can you stamp my logbook at my house?

Yes, where we can get to you. Logbook servicing by a qualified workshop does not affect a new car warranty.

Do you carry parts in the van?

Common service parts, filters, brake components and batteries. Model specific items get ordered first, which is why we ask for the rego.

What happens if the job is bigger than expected?

You get told on the spot and given options. If it needs a hoist, we book it into Moorooka rather than leaving you to find someone else.

Can you do a wheel alignment at my address?

No. Alignment needs a rack on a level floor, and anyone offering it in a driveway is not doing what you think.
